Reza Pahlavi, the exiled eldest son of the late Shah of Iran Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, announced his promises for a potential post-regime change in Iran in a message published on his social media account. Arguing that Iran is currently identified with terrorism, extremism, and poverty due to the existing regime, Pahlavi stated, "The real Iran is a different Iran. A beautiful, peace-loving, and flourishing Iran." Stating that the Iran that existed before the Islamic Republic will rise from the ashes once this regime is dismantled, Pahlavi said, "Therefore, I want to be clear about how a free Iran will act toward its neighbors and the world after the collapse of the regime."
"DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS WITH THE US WILL BE NORMALIZED"
Stating that Iran's nuclear defense program will be ended and the current regime's support for terrorist groups will be cut off immediately, Pahlavi said, "A free Iran will work with regional and global partners to combat terrorism, organized crime, drug trafficking, and extremism. Iran will act as a friend and a force for stability in the region. It will be a responsible partner in global security."
"ISRAEL WILL BE RECOGNIZED IMMEDIATELY"
Noting that diplomatic relations with the US will be normalized and friendship with America and its people will be re-established, Pahlavi stated, "The State of Israel will be recognized immediately." Expressing that relations between Iran, Israel, and the Arab world will be improved, Pahlavi said, "A new page will be turned based on mutual recognition, sovereignty, and national interests."
"IRAN WILL BE A RELIABLE ENERGY SUPPLIER FOR THE FREE WORLD"
Reminding that Iran possesses some of the world's largest oil and gas reserves, Pahlavi said, "A free Iran will become a reliable energy supplier for the free world. It will be transparent in policy-making. Iran's actions will be responsible. Prices will be predictable." Stating that international standards in transparency and governance will be adopted and implemented, Pahlavi added, "Money laundering will be combated. Organized corruption will be purged. Public institutions will be accountable to the people."
"IRAN WILL OPEN ITS ECONOMY TO TRADE, INVESTMENT, AND INNOVATION"
Emphasizing that Iran is one of the world's last great untapped markets, Pahlavi said, "Our population is educated and modern, and we have a diaspora that connects it to every corner of the globe. A democratic Iran will open its economy to trade, investment, and innovation. And Iran will seek to invest in the world."
Claiming that opportunities will replace the isolation Iran has been subjected to due to the current regime, Pahlavi said, "This is not an abstract vision, but a practical one. It is based on national interest, stability, and cooperation. To achieve this, now is the time to stand with the people of Iran." Pahlavi argued that the collapse of the current regime would restore the dignity of the Iranian people and benefit both the region and the world. Pahlavi stated, "A free Iran will be a force for peace, prosperity, and partnership."
SUPPORTING THE OPPOSITION FROM EXILE
Pahlavi, the son of the Shah who was deposed during the 1979 Iranian Islamic Revolution and who lives in exile in the US, is known as one of the leading figures of the Iranian opposition. Pahlavi is making efforts to serve as a leader for a "transition period" should a regime change occur in Iran. According to polls conducted in November 2025, it is stated that approximately one-third of Iranians support Pahlavi.
