Rocket attack on base housing US troops in Iraq
Attacks on bases housing US troops in Iraq and Syria have resumed. A US official announced that a rocket attack was carried out on a base in western Iraq where US soldiers are stationed.
The official stated that this attack was the second against bases in Iraq since February, saying, "There was an attack yesterday on Ain al-Asad Airbase that resulted in no injuries or damage. This was the second attack on US forces since February 4."
MORE THAN 165 ATTACKS CARRIED OUT
From October 2023, when Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip began, until last February, more than 165 attacks had been carried out against US troops in Iraq and Syria.
Meanwhile, on April 21, 5 rockets were fired from Iraqi territory at the Kharab al-Jir base, where US forces are located, in the Al-Hasakah region of Syria.
