As conflicts between the US and Israel and Iran intensify, Iraqi media reported that a rocket attack was carried out against the US Embassy located in the fortified Green Zone in Baghdad, where diplomatic missions and government buildings are situated.

Security sources reported that sirens sounded within the embassy compound and that air defense systems in the area were activated to neutralize threats in the air.

According to initial investigations by authorities, it was determined that the rockets were launched from the al-Kanal region in eastern Baghdad. Security forces have launched a large-scale operation in the area to identify the perpetrators of the attack.

Explosion near airport in Erbil

At the same time, three loud explosion sounds were heard near Erbil International Airport in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) of Iraq.

Security sources stated that air defense systems stationed at the airport responded immediately to the incoming attacks and neutralized the threats.
