Russia: 296 Ukrainian UAVs shot down overnight

Russia: 296 Ukrainian UAVs shot down overnight

In a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, it was reported that Ukraine launched an attack on Russian territory with UAVs during the night.

The statement noted that 296 UAVs were shot down by Russian air defense systems, adding that they were downed over the regions of Moscow, Bryansk, Belgorod, Vladimir, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tver, and Tula.

MOSCOW MAYOR SOBYANIN: NO SERIOUS DAMAGE OR CASUALTIES

Meanwhile, the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) announced that temporary restrictions had been placed on aircraft takeoffs and landings at several airports in the country.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated in a post on his Telegram channel that there was no serious damage or loss of life in the city as a result of the UAV attack.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported yesterday that Ukraine was taking provocative steps with the support of some European countries and that 2,331 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) had been shot down in the last week.
