Russia issues military warning to France

In a statement released by the Russian Ministry of Defense, it was noted that Shoigu held a phone call with Lecornu at the "insistent request" of the French side.

The statement indicated that Lecornu offered his condolences regarding the terrorist attack on the "Crocus City Hall" concert venue in Moscow, adding, "Lecornu also persistently tried to convince (Russia) that Ukraine and Western countries were not involved in the terrorist attack, by shifting the responsibility onto the (terrorist organization) ISIS."

The statement noted that Russian Minister Shoigu emphasized that the investigation into the terrorist attack would certainly be completed and those responsible would be punished, adding that there is information suggesting Ukraine's involvement in the organization of the attack.

The statement reported that Shoigu told his French counterpart Lecornu, "The Kiev regime does not do anything without the approval of its Western curators. We hope that the French intelligence services are not behind this incident."

The statement, which noted that the Ukraine issue was also discussed during the call, provided the following information: "Regarding the Elysee Palace's statements on sending French military units to Ukraine, Sergei Shoigu stated that if these were to be implemented in practice, it would create problems for France itself."

The statement, which noted that they are ready for dialogue on the issue of Ukraine, used the following expressions: "The Istanbul Peace Initiative can be taken as a basis for the starting points (of the dialogue). Holding a meeting in Geneva without Russia's participation is meaningless."

On the other hand, in a statement made by the French Ministry of Defense regarding the meeting, it was noted that Lecornu told his Russian counterpart regarding the terrorist attack on the concert hall that "France has no information that would establish a link between this attack and Ukraine," and asked Russia to stop exploiting this situation.
