Russian advance in Donbas continues: 2 more villages captured

The Russian Ministry of Defense has shared updated information regarding the ongoing special military operation in Donbas and Ukraine.

According to the statement, units of the Vostok (East) Military Group, as a result of successful actions, liberated the villages of Novy Komar and Zelenovka in the Donetsk People's Republic from Ukrainian occupation. Additionally, the Ukrainian army, whose counterattack was thwarted, suffered losses of 175 soldiers and one armored combat vehicle in this direction.

The ‘Sever’ (North) Military Group continued its active operations in the Kharkiv direction, neutralizing more than 100 Ukrainian soldiers and destroying five armored combat vehicles.

Units of the ‘Zapad’ (West) Military Group improved their tactical positions and suppressed two counterattacks. Enemy forces lost about 460 soldiers.

The ‘Yug’ (South) Military Group reached more advantageous lines. The losses of Ukrainian formations amounted to 315 soldiers and four armored combat vehicles, including one US-made M113.

The ‘Dnepr’ Military Group also continued to defeat the enemy. In this direction, about 60 soldiers of the Ukrainian army were neutralized within the last day.

The ‘Tsentr’ (Center) Military Group continued to advance deep into the enemy's defenses, repelling 12 counterattacks. The Ukrainian army lost 520 soldiers and one armored combat vehicle.

As a result of group strikes carried out with warplanes, unmanned aerial vehicles, and missiles against 149 locations in Ukraine, Ukrainian army airbase infrastructure and areas with high concentrations of troops and equipment were destroyed.

Russian air defense forces intercepted one US-made HIMARS missile, one Neptune long-range guided missile, and 154 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ukrainian army.
