Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov criticized the US attacks on Iran, stating, "This situation benefits no one."
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has criticized the renewed US attacks on Iran. Lavrov stated that they view the resumption of attacks on Iran as a violation of the agreement signed between Tehran and Washington, adding, "We see this as a violation of the agreement, and there is not much more to say on this matter. It is regrettable because both civilian infrastructure in Iran and civilian facilities in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries are being damaged. This situation benefits no one."
Expressing that the resumption of attacks on Iran closes the path to a diplomatic solution, Lavrov said, "The most important point is that this development does not serve a solution. On the contrary, it closes the door that was thought to have been opened by the agreement you mentioned."
Criticizing the US for its failure to implement international agreements, Lavrov also raised doubts regarding the reliability of US commitments.
