Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov: Zelensky is offering Ukraine to the West as a private military company

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference following the '3+3' regional platform meeting that Vladimir Zelensky is offering Ukraine as a private military company.

Zelensky presented a 'so-called victory plan' to the Ukrainian parliament on Wednesday. It was stated that this document contains five points and three secret annexes. In particular, the first point included an invitation for Ukraine to join NATO and its subsequent membership. While the second point included the lifting of restrictions on long-range weapons strikes on Russian territory, the third point included the deployment of a 'comprehensive non-nuclear deterrence package' in Ukraine. Zelensky had stated that the implementation of this plan 'depends on the partners'.

Russian Federation Foreign Minister Lavrov noted the following in his statement:

“In the document he calls a victory plan, Zelensky says something about the security of all of Europe, and according to reports, a secret annex accompanies the plan. This annex says that after the victory, the Ukrainian army will be ready to defend Europe, will deploy its soldiers on a contract basis, or I don't know how, perhaps it will replace the American contingent stationed in Europe. To put it simply, this is on one hand selling all the land and everything valuable buried within it, and on the other hand, presenting his country as a private military company that is indicative of this regime.”

Previously, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova commented on the 'victory plan' presented by Zelensky, stating that it was not a plan but a series of incoherent slogans, and emphasized that this plan would serve no purpose other than pushing NATO into a direct conflict with Russia.

Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov also said that a real peace plan for Kyiv would be to realize the futility of the policy they are pursuing. In his statement, Peskov emphasized that Zelensky's new 'peace plan' could actually be a copy of the US plan to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian, and that for Kyiv to achieve peace, it must 'sober up' and realize the reasons that are dragging it into the conflict.

'MOSCOW IS NOT INTERESTED IN SECRET ANNEXES'

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow is not interested in the secret annexes of Zelensky's 'so-called victory plan'.

Lavrov said in his speech, “We are not interested in the secret annexes, and even if we are in contact with our Western colleagues, we are not asking for the West's reaction either. However, this reaction is on all screens, on all pages, in all social networks and channels.”

In his statement, Lavrov also emphasized that information is coming in and according to this, it is clear that the main issue for Zelensky is obtaining weapons, but that the West has long realized that this is an unacceptable scenario, threatening the West itself with losses and difficulties.

In this part of his speech, Lavrov added, “Zelensky implicitly mentioned some economic aspects of the matter in these paragraphs. According to leaked information, the secret annex to this part of the so-called 'victory plan' was that Ukraine is ready to hand over all its natural resources to its Western masters for management and ownership.”

'THERE ARE PARALLELS BETWEEN THE SITUATION IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND UKRAINE'

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia insists on an immediate ceasefire agreement by all parties involved in the conflict in the Middle East, and that Russia also expects attempts to provoke Iran with the expectation of involving the US in military operations to remain fruitless.

Lavrov said in his statement to reporters, “We are in favor of an immediate cessation of violence.”

Reminding that Russia's position has not changed, Lavrov stated that an immediate ceasefire must be achieved and humanitarian problems must be solved immediately, saying, “The practice of political assassination, which is perceived extremely negatively in international law, is being initiated. And of course, one of the tasks is to drag Iran into hostilities with the expectation that it will allow the US to be dragged directly into the war in the Middle East.”

In his statement, the Russian minister stated that there are parallels between the situation in the Middle East and the Ukraine issue, and emphasized that Vladimir Zelensky also wants to do something that will provoke the West and force it to enter a war with Russia.

Lavrov concluded this part of his speech with the sentences, “I believe that these policies, regarding the situation in the Middle East and Ukraine, are correctly understood by responsible Western politicians, that there are still such politicians, and that all of this will lead nowhere.”
