Russian general makes 'plague' claim: Ukraine released it intentionally

Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, Commander of the Radiological, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops of the Russian Armed Forces, made striking allegations during a briefing on the US's military-biological activities.

In a presentation held on December 11, Kirillov claimed, "Ukraine intentionally released African swine fever in Zaporizhzhia."

During the briefing, Kirillov stated, "In the Chernihivka district of Zaporizhzhia, more than 7 thousand pigs were destroyed as a result of the deliberate introduction of the African swine fever virus (ASFV) into an agricultural enterprise. The infection in the pigs was detected without any vector activity or natural migration of wildlife."

"NON-STANDARD MILITARY OPERATIONS ARE BEING CONDUCTED"

Alleging that Ukraine is acting in coordination with the US to use chemical and biological weapons, Kirillov said that because the Ukrainians "could not achieve success in their so-called counter-offensive," Kyiv would resort to "non-standard forms of military operations, including the use of chemical and biological agents."

In the briefing shared via Telegram's telegra.ph, Kirillov said, "According to the information we have obtained, the Office of the President of Ukraine is coordinating the activities of national security services to organize an anti-Russian provocation using toxic substances. In October-November, the Security Service of Ukraine engaged the Ukrainian company REALAB, which purchased a 'small batch' of a sodium compound containing triethanolamine (a type of acid) and nitrogen, produced by the American company Honeywell Research Chemicals in Germany."

In June, Kirillov had claimed that the US planned to infect Russian soldiers with diseases by dropping mosquitoes from drones behind Russian lines in the Ukraine war.
