Russian President Putin in China
Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in China for an official visit.
Following US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin has also arrived in China for an official visit.
Putin was welcomed at Beijing International Airport by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, China's Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui, Russia's Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov, and other officials.
Children present at the airport to greet Putin cheered "Welcome" in Chinese.
Putin's two-day visit coincides with the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between Russia and China.
Putin will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The meeting is expected to address bilateral relations, regional and international issues, and the signing of a joint declaration and various agreements between the two countries.
Putin is also scheduled to meet with Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
