Scandalous statement from Israel after bombing tent city in Rafah

Describing the Israeli army's attack yesterday on a camp for displaced Palestinians in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip as a “tragic mishap,” Netanyahu stated that they are investigating the attack.

Netanyahu also said that the war in Gaza will continue despite the growing international condemnation of Israel's Rafah attack.

Netanyahu rejected accusations that the government is “not negotiating in good faith” for the release of hostages held in Gaza.

The Israeli Prime Minister said, “Those who say they are not prepared to withstand the pressure are raising the white flag of surrender. I will not raise such a flag; I will continue the fight until the flag of victory is flying.”

Netanyahu stated, “I have no intention of ending the war before the goal is reached. If we surrender, the massacre will return.

If we surrender, we will have handed a great victory to terror and to Iran,” he said.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The International Court of Justice (ICJ), the UN's judicial organ, ruled in its provisional measures decision on May 24 that Israel must immediately halt its attacks on Rafah, not obstruct humanitarian aid, and allow UN officials who will investigate its crimes to enter Gaza.

Israel carried out an attack on the tents of displaced Palestinians in the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip, where the ICJ had ordered a halt to attacks, and it was announced that at least 40 Palestinians lost their lives in the attack.

Eyewitnesses said, "The Israeli army's bombardment caused many tents in the camp to collapse and burn. This camp is not located in the area that the Israeli army demanded be evacuated in the city of Rafah, where thousands of displaced Palestinians live."

Witnesses stated that Israeli warplanes attacked the camp with at least 8 rockets.
