Shara: We thank Turkey for its support
Syrian President Ahmed Shara made statements at the 80th United Nations General Assembly. While stating that they emerged victorious despite their losses, Shara noted that they had lived under an oppressive regime for 60 years. In his statement regarding Israel, Shara noted that Israel has carried out attacks, but that his country is open to dialogue.
While expressing that they have put issues such as economic development on the agenda and are carrying out reforms in civil and military institutions, Shara said, "Syria is rebuilding itself today."
