Ship capsizes in the Philippines: 4 dead, 7 missing!
It has been reported that 4 people lost their lives and search efforts are ongoing for 7 missing individuals after the Chinese-flagged ship "Hong Hai 16" capsized off the coast of the Occidental Mindoro region in the Philippines.
According to the Philippine News Agency (PNA), the PCG has issued a statement regarding the search and rescue operations.
The statement announced that the death toll has risen to 4 following the recovery of two more bodies, one in the ship's accommodation area at 08:15 local time and the other in a cabin on the main deck at 11:36.
It was reported that 14 of the 25 crew members on board were rescued, while 7 people remain missing.
Coast guard teams are continuing their operations in the region with inflatable boats, ships, helicopters, and a large number of personnel.
