'Signalgate' crisis deepens in the US as classified messages leak: Will Trump dismiss 'that' name?
The 'SignalGate' scandal in the US is growing following the exposure of a messaging group involving high-level officials. Trump's decision not to dismiss National Security Advisor Mike Waltz has sparked controversy.
The 'SignalGate' scandal, which has caused a major stir in the US and around the world, has taken center stage following statements by Atlantic editor Jeffrey Goldberg. Goldberg stated that he was accidentally added to a Signal messaging group that included US Vice President James David Vance, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz. Claiming that military plans regarding Yemen were discussed in this group, Goldberg also shared screenshots of the messages with the public.
Goldberg emphasized the seriousness of the incident, stating, 'US national security officials added me to a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. At first, I didn't think it was real. A while later, the bombs started falling.' These statements have left the US administration in a difficult position.

NEW ALLEGATIONS FROM POLITICO
According to a report by Politico, high-level officials advised President Trump to dismiss Mike Waltz. Although Trump acknowledged that Waltz had made a mistake, he rejected this recommendation. Politico suggested that with this decision, Trump aims to avoid appearing flawed in the eyes of the opposition and parts of the press.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, on the other hand, defended the situation by arguing that Goldberg did not see any war or attack plans, and accused the media of spreading hoaxes. However, this statement did not satisfy the public, and the debates have continued.
