Soda-addicted Trump makes controversial claim: 'It kills cancer cells'
US President Donald Trump's views on diet soda have sparked debate. It has been claimed that Trump believes these drinks can destroy cancer cells.
Mehmet Oz, the head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in the US, shared a striking assessment regarding Donald Trump's soda consumption.
Appearing as a guest on Trump's son's podcast, Oz relayed the US President's thoughts on diet soda with the following words:
“Your father says diet soda is good for him. Because when it's poured on grass, it kills it; so he thinks it must also eliminate cancer cells in the body.”
"IT KILLS CANCER CELLS"
Recounting a recent memory he had with Trump, Oz described the conversation that took place between them as follows:
“I went over to see him on the plane the other day to discuss an issue. There was an orange-flavored carbonated drink on his table. I asked, ‘Really?’ He said, ‘This is good for me, it kills cancer cells.’”
