Space adventure ends poorly: NASA astronaut hospitalized

NASA's Crew-8 crew returned to Earth after spending approximately 8 months on the International Space Station, landing off the coast of the U.S. state of Florida.

The space agency announced that one of the astronauts was taken to the hospital following the landing due to an unspecified health issue, but that their condition is stable.

In its statement, NASA said that during routine medical evaluations on the recovery ship, "an additional evaluation was requested for the crew members as a precautionary measure."

THREE ASTRONAUTS DISCHARGED

While three of the NASA astronauts were discharged following routine checks, one remains in the hospital "under observation as a precautionary measure."

NASA stated that it would not disclose specific medical information in order to protect the crew member's privacy, but that it would provide updates when available.
