SpaceX is going to Mars: 5 rockets to be sent

SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk announced his plans for Mars on his X account. Musk stated that they aim to launch five different uncrewed Starship rockets to Mars by 2026. If successful landings occur, crewed missions are planned to begin by 2030.

However, Musk pointed out that bureaucratic hurdles in the US could pose a significant threat during this process. The famous businessman specifically suggested that these obstacles would increase further if Kamala Harris wins the presidential election.

In his statement on his X account, Musk provided details regarding SpaceX's first Mars mission centered on Starship.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk

The American billionaire announced that they plan to send 5 uncrewed Starship rockets to Mars by 2026.

Stating that they could conduct crewed missions within 4 years if the rockets land safely on Mars, Musk shared the information, 'If we encounter challenges, then the crewed missions will be postponed another two years.'

Noting that SpaceX will increase the number of spacecraft traveling to Mars, Musk used the expression, 'We want to enable anyone who wants to be a space traveler to go to Mars.'

WILL THE MARS JOURNEY BE 'IMPOSSIBLE' IF HARRIS WINS?

Musk stated that one of his biggest concerns regarding the Starship program is 'bureaucratic hurdles'.

Arguing that these obstacles would increase if US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris wins the election, Musk shared the view, 'It is certain that the bureaucracy that is currently strangling America to death will grow even larger under a Democratic Party administration.'

Musk assessed, 'This would destroy the Mars program and be the end of humanity.'
