According to Iranian state television, the written statement asserted that the Strait of Hormuz is under Iranian control. It stated that the strait will not be reopened as long as US "threats and interventions in regional maritime traffic" continue.
The Revolutionary Guard also warned that the current situation could become even more difficult. The statement included a threat that countries supporting the US would "face a harsh response" if they do not change their positions.
