Barbabella stated, "President Trump is using a commonly applied cream on the right side of his neck; this is a preventative skincare treatment. The President will continue this treatment for one week, and the redness is expected to last for a few weeks." Previously, bruises seen on Trump's hand had increased health concerns regarding the U.S. President. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had said in a statement on the matter, "President Trump has bruises on his hand because he is constantly working and shaking hands every day." Trump, for his part, had stated that such bruises occur because he takes aspirin, saying, "If you love your heart, I suggest you take aspirin. But if you don't want small bruises, don't take aspirin. This is one of the side effects of taking this medication."
