Statement on Palestine from Saudi Crown Prince
Stating that they will not establish relations with Israel until an independent Palestinian state is established, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said, "Saudi Arabia will not cease its efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital."
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke at the opening session of the Shura Council. The Crown Prince stated, "We reiterate that Saudi Arabia rejects and strongly condemns the crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinian people.
Saudi Arabia will not cease its efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
We confirm that diplomatic relations will not be established with Israel until this is achieved."
Meanwhile, following the attacks launched by Israel on Gaza on October 7, Saudi Arabia had suspended US-backed plans to normalize relations with Israel.
