Striking remarks on Russian state television:

The Russia-Ukraine war, which has been ongoing for over two years, continues to occupy the world's agenda.

One of Russia's prominent figures, Major General Nikolay Plotnikov, made a striking statement on Russian state television.

Plotnikov stated that Putin should correct the "historical mistakes of Lenin and Stalin" and that he should occupy certain European countries. While claiming that cities in some European countries have connections to Russia, Plotnikov listed these countries.

The Russian official said that Narva in Estonia, Daugavpils in Latvia, and Klaipeda in Lithuania should be occupied and annexed to Russian territory. These countries, located in the Baltic region, also stand out as NATO members.

"THEY WILL FACE THE CONSEQUENCES"

Plotnikov, who works as a political expert and academic in addition to his military duties, spoke on state television. Plotnikov said, "People in these countries need to stop supporting Ukraine, or they will face the consequences."

If Russia were to attack these countries, other NATO countries would have the option to retaliate against Russia under NATO's Article 5.
