Support for Netanyahu comes from far-right leader Wilders
In the Netherlands, far-right Freedom Party (PVV) leader Geert Wilders stated that he supports Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, for whom International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor Karim Khan has requested an arrest warrant.
Wilders stated in a post on the X social media platform that he had spoken with Netanyahu over the phone.
Conveying that they discussed Prosecutor Khan's application for an "arrest warrant" for Netanyahu, Wilders said, "I expressed my strong support for the State of Israel and the Jewish people."
Wilders used the expression, "The ICC prosecutor's decision is ridiculous and wrong. It is a crime not to defend one's people against the forces of hatred and terror."
ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan announced on May 20 that he had filed for an "arrest warrant" for Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
