Syrian President Al-Shara to visit Turkey: 2nd official visit will be to Ankara
It has been reported that Ahmed al-Shara, who was elected President of the Transitional Government in Syria, will visit Turkey.
It was noted that AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Al-Shara will meet in Ankara.
Al-Shara made his first foreign visit to Saudi Arabia. Syria's new leader will make his 2nd official visit to Turkey. It had previously been suggested that the details regarding the Syrian President's visit to Turkey would be determined according to Erdoğan's schedule.
The meeting between Erdoğan and Al-Shara is expected to take place next week.
Previously, Al-Shara held a meeting with the head of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT), İbrahim Kalın, in Damascus on January 26.
Last Sunday (February 2), Al-Shara and the Transitional Government's Minister of Foreign Affairs Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani visited Saudi Arabia. Al-Shara held a meeting with Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who congratulated him on his new position.
