Syrian President al-Sharaa shops on the streets of Damascus
Following claims on some social media accounts regarding an assassination attempt and an attack on the palace, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa was seen shopping at a market in the Mezze district of the capital, Damascus.
An attack was carried out on the Presidential Palace on New Year's Eve,andit was claimed that al-Sharaa wasseriouslywounded in the chest and was receiving treatmtaken to Turkeygfollowing baselessclaims that he was, the Syrian leader appeared in public after approximately 5 days.He mingled with the public.
Entering a market in the Mezze district to shop, al-Sharaa, made his payment with the new Syrian currencywhile doing so with the citizensin the area, he also chatted in a friendly manner.
With light security protection, he appearedquite healthy and cheerful, aslong-awaited With this visitconductedamong the public, al-Sharaeffectively refuted boththe aforementioned attack claims and the speculationssurrounding him.
