In the Gaza Strip, the ceasefire that went into effect on October 10 has moved to a new phase. U.S. President Donald Trump's Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff announced that the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip has begun. Witkoff stated, "Today, PresOn behalf of President Trump, we announce theinitiation of the second phase of the President's 20-point planto end theconflict in Gaza," he stated.

Witkoff noted that the second phase involvesthe establishment of the "National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG)," a temporary technocratic Palestinian administration,the full demilitarization of Gaza, and the reconstruction process.stating that it covers the processes,he stated that, firstly, the disarmament of all unauthorized personnelwould begin to be accelerated.

Threatening Hamas, Witkoff said, "The U.S. expects Hamas to fully fulfill its obligations, including the immediate return of the hostage's body. Otherwise, there will be serious consequencesfor this."
