The video he shared had become a hot topic: Survivor of the plane crash in Kazakhstan recounts his experience

Subhonkul Rahimov, who survived the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) passenger plane crash in Kazakhstan, had become a major talking point after sharing a video on social media as the plane was going down.

Stating that he was in shock because he survived the accident without a single injury, 48-year-old Rahimov described his experience during the plane's descent.

Explaining that he was born and raised in Tajikistan, 48-year-old Rahimov said he has lived in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg for more than 20 years and is a Russian citizen.

"I DO NOT KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THE EXPLOSION OCCURRED DURING THE FLIGHT"

Noting that they heard an explosion during the flight but could not clearly identify which area the explosion occurred in, Rahimov spoke as follows:

"I couldn't see the city of Grozny. Because of the fog, I couldn't see which settlement we were over. I was sleeping until that moment. Then I felt the plane climb again. When I opened my eyes, I saw fog. Nothing was visible. The plane couldn't land on the first attempt. I thought we would try to land a second time according to the flight path. I think all of this was over Grozny. However, I cannot say anything definitive about this."

Stating that the oxygen masks deployed when the sound of an explosion was heard, Rahimov said, "I felt like the plane was going to break apart. There was turbulence. Then the plane started to climb again. Then the plane leveled off and started to descend slowly. The passengers calmed down. I thought we were going to land at another airport. I calmed myself down. After a while, the sea appeared. The weather was clear."

"I RECITED ALL THE PRAYERS I KNEW AS THE PLANE WAS CRASHING"

Explaining that he constantly prays and remembers God before and during flights, Rahimov said, "I prayed and recited the Shahada when we started flying. I do this every time I board and disembark a plane. I am always remembering God. (In the moment of danger) I recited everything I knew. Then I thought that wouldn't be enough and that it would be better to die in prostration. Death seemed inevitable. By the grace of God, I survived."

Stating that the plane bounced a few times the moment it crashed and that he saw a fire break out afterward, Rahimov recounted the following:

"The incident happened in a few seconds. Then there was silence. I was in shock because I had survived. I didn't even have a single fracture or dislocation. That's why I was in shock. Thank God, those sitting next to me and behind me also survived. Other people on the plane besides me also survived. My ticket said seat number 38. Then I moved to seat 39 by the window. My seat was in the tail of the plane. The tail of the plane broke off. But I didn't understand how that happened."

"THE FEMALE FLIGHT ATTENDANT HELPED UNTIL THE LAST MOMENT"

Expressing his appreciation for the flight attendant on the plane, Rahimov said, "If she died, may God take her to heaven. She always spoke in Azerbaijani Turkish and calmed people down. She did everything according to the rules and talked to the people on the plane until the last moment. I want to point out that she was a woman. She was not afraid."

Explaining that he did not lose consciousness after the accident, Rahimov said, "I tried to get out of the plane. We helped each other with the passengers. We unbuckled our seatbelts and tried to find an exit from the plane. I tried to help a woman. I heard the sound of ambulances. Medical teams arrived. Some of them didn't even realize I had gotten out of the plane. Because I was walking around the plane. They were surprised when they found out."

Emphasizing that first aid arrived at the scene immediately, Rahimov thanked Kazakhstan and the medical teams for this.

"IF YOU ARE READY TO MEET GOD, YOU DON'T NEED TO BE AFRAID"

Stating that he has a message for all his Muslim brothers and sisters regarding what he experienced in the accident, Rahimov said, "Do not fear death. You must accept death. There is no need to worry. If a Muslim performs the five daily prayers, if they pray to Allah every day, every Muslim can face the kind of situation I encountered. In such a case, one must remain calm and accept the situation. Their heart will guide them on what to do."

Rahimov noted that he advised the friends and brothers who called him after the accident to trust in Allah, stating that he told them, "In such situations, Allah will support you too. If you accept the situation, you will calm down. If you are ready to meet Allah, there is no need to be afraid."
