It has been reported that 50 people in Angola lost their lives after drinking a herbal liquid in January and February to prove they were not practicing witchcraft.

According to reports in the local press, regional official Luzia Filemone announced that 50 people died from poisoning in Camacupa, in the central region of Angola.

"THEY WERE FORCED TO DRINK"

Filemone stated that the 50 individuals in question lost their lives after drinking a herbal liquid in January and February to prove they were not practicing witchcraft.

Blaming traditional healers for the deaths, Filemone said, "More than 50 victims were forced to drink this mysterious liquid, which, according to traditional healers, proves whether or not a person is practicing witchcraft."
