As part of the third phase of the first stage of the prisoner exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel, an Israeli female hostage named Arbel Yehud, who was held in Gaza, was handed over to Red Cross teams in front of the house of the late Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, in the city of Khan Yunis.
A large number of Al-Qassam Brigades members and Palestinians were present in the area during the handover of the Israeli hostage.
Following Hamas's release of the Israeli hostage, Israel also released 110 Palestinian prisoners. Thus, the third prisoner exchange between Palestine and Israel has been completed.
