Thousands of pro-Palestine supporters surround the White House

Israel’s massacre of thousands of civilians in the Gaza Strip and the continuation of its intense attacks in the region are drawing reactions from all over the world. Thousands of people in the capital, Washington, protested against the U.S. administration, which is the biggest supporter of the Tel Aviv administration's ongoing attacks in the region.

Thousands of pro-Palestine supporters surrounded the White House with a giant red banner featuring the names of Palestinians who have lost their lives.

Protesters chanted slogans such as “Netanyahu, you can't hide. We will charge you with genocide”, “Biden, you can't hide”, “We are the red line”, and “Free Palestine”, while carrying banners reading “Biden’s red line is a lie”, "Genocide is our red line”, and "Arms embargo on Israel”.

A pro-Palestine supporter who spoke during the demonstration, which continued despite police intervention with pepper spray and smoke bombs, called for a ceasefire, saying, “We are sending a message from here to Biden, to Congress, and to the whole world.”

In a statement issued by the U.S. Secret Service, it was reported that security measures were taken, and some roads were closed to traffic due to the crowd gathering in Lafayette Park across from the White House.

U.S. President Joe Biden is currently in France to attend the 80th-anniversary ceremonies of the D-Day landings.
