Three major automakers sound the alarm in the US: 150 thousand vehicles recalled
It has been announced that Mazda is recalling over 77 thousand, Toyota over 42 thousand, and Mercedes-Benz over 27 thousand vehicles in the US
In a statement by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), it was stated that Mazda is recalling 77 thousand 670 sports vehicles in the country due to a software error that could cause the front airbags to deploy with excessive force in an accident.
In another statement from the NHTSA, a problem in the braking system of certain Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid model vehicles was pointed out. The statement, which noted that 42 thousand 199 automobiles were being recalled for this reason, reported that Toyota dealerships would update the software causing the issue free of charge.
In yet another statement, it was noted that Mercedes-Benz is also recalling 27 thousand 190 vehicles, stating that the engine control unit software could cause the engine to overheat or stall. The statement conveyed that the software in question would be updated by dealerships free of charge.
