Tom Barrack: The US is in Syria until total destruction

US Ambassador to Ankaraand Special Representative for Syria Tom Barrack, regarding the terrorist attack in Syria that claimed the lives of two US soldiers and a civilian interpreter,described theterroristattack as a "cowardlyambush," and stated that the US's determinationin the region will not be shaken.

The limited number of US troops in SyriaReminding of the primary mission of the force,Barrack stated, "Ourforces continue to remain in Syria to defeatISIS once and for all, prevent its resurgence, and protect the American homelandfrom terrorattacks."Barrack added that this presence supports local Syrian partners.strengthenedand stated that the US in the Middle Eastprevented a large-scalewar from breaking out.

Regarding the identification of the perpetrators of the attack, the Syrian governmentwithcoordination messageBarrack, who gave the message, stated, "We welcome the strong determination of Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara to identify the perpetrators of the attack and hold them accountable.Together, we willroot out terrorism in Syriaand we will not toleratethreatsdirected at the American people."He added,

In parallel with Donald Trump's "retaliation" message, Barrack said, "Every single individual who had a hand in this treacherous attack, including those who provided financing,will be pursued withrelentless determination, and we will not abandon this mission untilISIS is completely destroyed.Any attack againstAmericanswill be met with swift and relentless justice," he said.
