Tour bus crashes into truck in Egypt: 26 Turkish citizens injured

Tour bus crashes into truck in Egypt: 26 Turkish citizens injured

In Egypt, 26 Turkish citizens were injured after a tour bus carrying Turkish and Azerbaijani tourists collided with a truck. The accident occurred on the Sharm El-Sheikh-Cairo highway in the Ras Sedr region, approximately 205 kilometers from the capital, Cairo.

In the accident involving a 22-bus tour convoy traveling from Sharm El-Sheikh to the Giza Pyramids area, 26 Turkish citizens, as well as 4 Egyptian citizens and 1 Azerbaijani citizen, were injured. The total number of injured was reported as 31.

''THE INJURED WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AFTER INITIAL INTERVENTION''

Following initial intervention at the scene, the injured were transported by ambulance to Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital and El-Tor Hospital. It was reported that the health condition of the majority of the injured Turkish citizens is stable.

Turkey's Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen, stated that a consular support team arrived at the scene following the accident. It was reported that Şen spoke with Ahmed El-Sobky, head of the Egyptian Health Authority, to ensure the rapid processing of the injured individuals' medical treatment.

During the meeting, it was stated that El-Sobky expressed that they are closely monitoring the condition of the injured and that the necessary medical interventions are being provided. Ambassador Şen also thanked the Egyptian health authorities and doctors for the care shown to the injured.
