A freight train consisting of 58 wagons derailed on the Shalkar-Zhem railway line in the Aktobe region of western Kazakhstan.
In a written statement issued by the Kazakhstan Railways company, it was stated that 8 wagons had derailed.
NO CASUALTIES
While there were no casualties or injuries in the accident, it was reported that repair work is ongoing at the scene.
It was noted that a special commission has been established to investigate the cause of the accident.
