He also added that Ukraine is ready to sign a rare earth elements agreement with the US.

Stating that Ukraine is ready to sign the agreement regarding mines and security, Trump quoted the following expressions from Zelensky's letter:
''No one desires peace more than the Ukrainians. My team and I are ready to work under President Trump's strong leadership for a lasting peace. Ukraine is ready to sign this agreement at any time convenient for you.''

Zelensky, who visited the White House on February 28, fought with Trump and Vice President JD Vance before signing the contract that would transfer the usage rights of the mines in his country to the US. The Ukrainian leader left the Oval Office without signing the agreement

Emphasizing that the war between Russia and Ukraine must end, Trump expressed that he very much wants this war to end. Regarding customs duties, Trump announced that reciprocal tariffs will come into effect starting April 2. Saying, 'Whatever tariff they apply to us, we will apply that tariff to them,' Trump emphasized that the tariffs were implemented to make the US wealthy again.
Stating that they need a missile defense shield similar to the one in Israel, Trump asked Congress to fund this project. He also announced that the perpetrator of an attack carried out by ISIS members during the withdrawal process from Afghanistan had been captured and brought to the US.
Calling on Congress to implement tax cuts, Trump requested permanent reductions in all income taxes. Noting that taxes should not be collected on tips, overtime, and social security payments, Trump also demanded tax cuts for the manufacturing sector to encourage domestic production.
