Trump blames Obama and Biden over Iran nuclear deal

A new statement regarding Iran's nuclear program has come from U.S. President Donald Trump. Posting a message on the Truth social media platform, Trump recalled that he withdrew in 2018 from the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which was signed in July 2015 between Iran and the "P5+1" countries (the U.S., U.K., France, China, Russia, and Germany).

Emphasizing that this deal was signed during the term of former U.S. President Barack Obama, Trump said, "If I hadn't terminated Obama's terrible 'Iran Nuclear Deal,' Iran would have had a nuclear weapon 3 years ago.

This was the most dangerous deal we have ever signed, and if it had been allowed to remain in effect, the world would be a very different place right now. You can blame Barack Hussein Obama and Sleepy Joe Biden."

Trump had withdrawn from the deal

The countries consisting of the U.S., U.K., France, China, Russia, and Germany, referred to as the "P5+1," signed a nuclear deal with Iran in July 2015 that envisioned the lifting of certain economic sanctions in exchange for reducing uranium enrichment. In a statement made in May 2018, Trump announced that they were withdrawing from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran Nuclear Deal.
