Trump claims Iran will stop supporting Hezbollah and Hamas

US President Donald Trump shared new details regarding the negotiations between Iran and the US in a telephone interview with the US-based CBS News. In the interview, Trump argued that Iran has "accepted everything" and will work with the US in the process of transporting enriched uranium. Stating that US ground troops would not be used in this process, Trump responded to the question of who would take delivery of the uranium by simply saying, "Our people."

Trump said, "No. No, there will be no soldiers. We will go in and go with them to get (the uranium), and then we will take it away. We will do this together because by then we will have reached an agreement, and when there is an agreement, there will be no need to fight. Isn't that nice? It's better this way. If it were necessary, we could have done it another way."

Trump stated that the nuclear materials would be taken to the US. The US President said, "Our people will work together with the Iranians to go and get the materials. Then we will take them to the US."

Trump also claimed that Iran has agreed to stop supporting Hamas and Hezbollah.

"The parties will meet over the weekend"

When asked when the agreement with Iran would be announced, Trump replied that the parties would meet over the weekend and that the US would continue its blockade of Iranian ports "until the job is done."

Trump also denied reports in the US press that the possibility of releasing $20 billion of Iran's frozen assets in exchange for its nuclear stockpiles was being discussed. Trump stated, "No, we are not paying even 10 cents."
