Trump declares two media giants 'illegal'
U.S. President Trump has claimed that media organizations CNN and MSNBC are "illegal" and "corrupt" in their reporting on him. Trump stated that he has achieved a political victory despite negative media coverage.
U.S. President Donald Trump, who has been officially in office for two months, launched a harsh attack on media organizations CNN and MSNBC. In a speech at the U.S. Department of Justice, Trump said, "I believe that CNN and MSNBC, which report negatively about me at a rate of exactly 97.6 percent, are the political arms of the Democratic Party."
Arguing that these media organizations are "corrupt" and "illegal," Trump stated that negative media coverage continues regardless of political outcomes. The U.S. President added, "It doesn't matter how big a victory I win. I could win the greatest victory in history. It doesn't matter what kind of failure the other side has."
HE HAD ATTACKED THEM BEFORE
In a post on the social media platform Truth Social on February 22, Trump had stated, "MSNBC, known as MSDNC, is a threat to our democracy. A bunch of lies and distortions. There are bad people in charge."
