Trump: Drug-laden boat struck off the coast of Venezuela
US President Donald Trump stated, "This morning, a boat loaded with enough drugs to cause the deaths of 25,000 to 50,000 people was struck off the coast of Venezuela."
The US continues its operations off the coast of South America as part of its fight against international drug trafficking.
US President Donald Trump announced today that another drug trafficking boat departing from Venezuela has been struck.
In a post on his social media account, Trump stated, "This morning, a boat loaded with enough drugs to cause the deaths of 25,000 to 50,000 people was struck off the coast of Venezuela before it could enter US territory."
"WILL CONTINUE UNTIL ATTACKS CEASE"
US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth also stated on his social media account, "In accordance with the orders of US President Trump, I conducted a lethal operation against a drug trafficking boat linked to elements designated by the US as a terrorist organization.
The 4 male narco-terrorists on board were killed, while no US forces were harmed. The operation was carried out in international waters off the coast of Venezuela while the ship was carrying a large quantity of drugs and heading toward the US.
Our intelligence clearly confirmed that the ship was engaged in drug trafficking, that those on board were narco-terrorists, and that they were operating on a known drug transit route. Such operations will continue until the attacks against Americans come to an end," he said.
