Trump insults Harris at rally: 'Mentally disabled from birth'

Former US President and Republican candidate Donald Trump has reiterated his claims that Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is "mentally disabled" ahead of the presidential election in November.

According to a CNN report, despite criticism from many Republicans who argue that such language should be avoided, Trump continues to use derogatory remarks against his opponent, Harris, during his election campaign.

During his speech at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania yesterday, the presidential candidate said, "Joe Biden became mentally disabled. It's sad, but to be honest, I believe Kamala Harris was born that way."

Some of the former president's supporters are uncomfortable with Trump's remarks about his opponent.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, one of Trump's prominent allies, stated on a CNN program that he does not believe Harris is "mentally disabled" but rather a "crazy liberal."

Graham called on Trump to focus on issues such as the economy, border security, inflation, and foreign policy instead of using such language.

Trump had also used the phrase "Kamala is mentally disabled" during a speech in Wisconsin on September 28.
