US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran wants to reach a deal with the US. Speaking by phone to the News Nation channel, Trump made assessments regarding Washington's stance toward Iran as the November 3 elections approach.
Arguing that Tehran is seeking common ground for a deal, Trump stated that he would only sit at the table with Iran if a "right" deal could be made. The US President said, "They want to make a deal. Iran is losing in every way right now, so they want to make a deal."
Reiterating that he is in the decision-making phase regarding whether a new attack will be launched against Iran, Trump left his options open by saying, "We will see what happens."
Trump also said that the US is in contact with the Houthis. Stating that the Houthis want to see if a deal can be made, Trump did not share details regarding the talks.
