Trump makes statement regarding peace talks in Doha
U.S. President Donald Trump has made statements regarding a meeting he claims will be held tomorrow between Iran and the U.S. in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that they will meet with an Iranian delegation tomorrow in Doha, the capital of Qatar. Sharing his remarks on the subject via his social media account, Trump stated the following:
"Iran requested the meeting. The meeting will take place tomorrow in Doha"
WITKOFF AND KUSHNER TO ATTEND
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner will attend the meeting in Doha.
Leavitt stated, "Special Envoy Witkoff and Jared Kushner will depart for high-level talks in Doha this week. We continue to discuss the memorandum of understanding as part of the talks. In addition to these high-level meetings, technical discussions will also be held."
Regarding the meeting in question, Trump said, "The meeting in Doha might be important, or it might not. We will see."
