Trump nominated for Nobel Peace Prize for Israel-Iran ceasefire

Buddy Carter, a Republican member of the House of Representatives from the state of Georgia, stated in a letter sent to the Nobel Peace Prize Committee that Trump played an "extraordinary and historic role" in the process of ending the armed conflict between Israel and Iran.

Carter argued that Trump prevented a state described as the world's largest sponsor of terrorism from obtaining the most dangerous weapon on the planet.

In his letter, Carter stated the following: "In a region dominated by historic hostilities and political instability, such a significant breakthrough requires both courage and clarity. President Trump has offered the world a rare beacon of hope. For these reasons, I respectfully nominate the 47th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, for consideration for the Nobel Peace Prize."

Previously, Darrell Issa, a Republican member of the House of Representatives from California, had also nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, citing the "stunning impact" his success in the 2024 elections had on world peace.

In recent days, the Pakistani government also announced that it had nominated Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize due to the "diplomatic leadership" he displayed during the recent crisis with India.

In the statement made by Pakistan, it was noted that "Thanks to the intense diplomatic contacts Trump conducted with both Islamabad and New Delhi, he made it possible to achieve a ceasefire in a short time and prevented a devastating conflict that could have affected millions of people."
