Trump: Oil prices will fall as soon as the Iran issue is over
In a statement in Texas, US President Donald Trump made assessments regarding the war with Iran and said he expects oil prices to fall in the short term.
US President Donald Trump, in a statement made in Texas, made assessments regarding the war with Iran and argued that oil prices would decline in a short time.
Trump said, “Oil prices will fall very, very soon. As soon as the Iran issue is over, which is almost over right now, oil prices will fall.” The US President also claimed that more oil is currently being extracted from the Strait of Hormuz compared to before the war.
Touching upon the search for counterparts in Iran, Trump stated that they have been “trying to be nice” to the current leadership. Arguing that most of the leadership cadre in the country is no longer in office, Trump said, “To be honest, we don't know who to deal with.”
Speaking optimistically about the outcome of the process, Trump claimed that they would “easily win” the war they started against Iran. Referring to the midterm elections to be held in November, Trump said that victory could come after the election, but it was also possible before the election.
Trump also made serious allegations regarding Iran's economy and military capacity. Claiming that inflation in Iran has risen above 300 percent, Trump alleged that the navy and air force have been largely neutralized.
