Trump opponents take to the streets in New York

Protests against the Donald Trump administration are being held across the U.S. under the banner of "No Kings." According to reports in the U.S. press, while approximately 3,100 demonstrations are planned in different cities across the country, activists who took to the streets in some regions protested the Trump administration's policies, rising living costs, and attacks on Iran. Americans criticizing the Washington administration's immigration laws and stance on foreign policy held demonstrations in small settlements as well as major cities.

Slogans chanted for Gaza and Iran

During the demonstration in the city of Syracuse in New York state, Trump opponents filled the streets and the areas around main roads, while some drivers honked their horns to support the crowd. Protesters carrying banners with anti-Trump slogans also displayed signs criticizing Israel's attacks in the Gaza Strip and policies toward Iran.

Emphasis on fuel, ICE, and Epstein

Activists protesting rising fuel prices chanted slogans against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) units and immigration laws. Banners featured phrases such as "No to ICE" and "Resist fascism." Some protesters also chanted slogans criticizing the connections between the Trump administration and the late U.S. billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of establishing a sex trafficking ring that drew international public attention.

More than 5 million people participated in the protests held last year

More than 5 million people participated in the "No Kings" protests held last June, which coincided with Trump's birthday and the 250th-anniversary parade of the U.S. military. Organizers stated that the Trump administration was "shifting toward an increasingly authoritarian line," and expressed that ICE raids in areas with immigrant populations and military deployments "pose a direct threat to civil liberties."
