Trump prepares to lift ban announced by US President Biden

In a broadcast he participated in today, Trump said regarding Biden's aforementioned ban, "This is ridiculous, I will lift the ban immediately. I have the right to lift the ban right away."

Arguing that the US has levels of oil and natural gas that no one else possesses, Trump stated that they would take advantage of this.

Claiming that Biden does not know what it means to ban oil and natural gas drilling on 625 million acres, Trump said, "He (Biden) doesn't even know what 625 million acres looks like. This is our greatest economic asset and we will not allow this to be done to our country."

Biden had signed 2 memoranda today aimed at preventing new oil and natural gas drilling.

Stating that under the scope of the ban, no new oil and natural gas drilling would be conducted in waters such as the east and west coasts, the eastern Gulf of Mexico, and parts of the Bering Sea, Biden had stated, "Drilling in these coasts could cause irreversible damage to the places we value and is not necessary to meet our country's energy needs."

Biden had emphasized that more than 625 million acres of water area would be protected from drilling under this scope, noting that this decision was also consistent with the US's climate policies.
