Trump promises voters 5 thousand dollars! The condition has been revealed

US President Donald Trump has announced a striking pledge ahead of the midterm elections to be held in November. Trump stated that if the Republican Party maintains its majority in both chambers of Congress, a payment of 5 thousand dollars will be made to every adult US citizen.

Trump made his statement at the first of the Republican Party conventions held in Dallas. In the US Congress, Republicans currently hold the majority with 218 seats against 214 in the House of Representatives, and 53 seats against 47 in the Senate.

Trump, who did not share details on how the payment in question would be financed, compared his promise to companies distributing dividends to their shareholders and the 1,776-dollar additional checks the American administration sent to military personnel last year.

It is not clear whether it is legal to promise direct cash payments to voters. Trump had previously stated that 2 thousand dollars could be paid to every citizen from the additional customs duties he had implemented.
