Trump reacts: 'Iran foolishly violated the ceasefire agreement': Launched at least 4 UAVs at ships
US President Donald Trump stated, "Iran launched at least 4 kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. This is a foolish violation of our ceasefire agreement."
US President Donald Trump has accused Iran of attacking ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz and violating the ceasefire between the parties.
In a statement on his social media account, Trump said, "Iran launched at least 4 kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
One of the UAVs made a direct hit on the upper deck of a large, high-value cargo ship.
The ship sustained damage but was able to continue its voyage.
We shot down the other three UAVs. This is a foolish violation of our ceasefire agreement."
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency stated yesterday that a ship had been struck 7.5 nautical miles southeast of the port of Dahit, Oman.
Unnamed US officials had claimed that Iran opened fire on the Singapore-flagged cargo ship "Ever Lovely." No loss of life or injuries were reported in the incident.
