Trump's statement on Khamenei's funeral: 'We gave them a week because we are good people'
In his statement regarding the funeral ceremony held for Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, U.S. President Donald Trump said, "We gave them a week for the funeral because we are good people."
U.S. President Donald Trump spoke at a program held at Mount Rushmore in the town of Keystone, South Dakota, to mark the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence. In his speech, Trump also touched upon U.S. military operations against Venezuela and Iran.
STATEMENTS ON IRAN AND VENEZUELA
Evaluating the operations against Venezuela and Iran, Trump claimed that Iran is "dying to make a deal." Trump stated, "We defeated Venezuela in one day and we decimated Iran. They are dying to make a deal, they want a deal so badly."
TOUCHED UPON KHAMENEI'S FUNERAL
Trump also addressed the funeral ceremony held for Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who lost his life in the attacks carried out by the U.S. and Israel on the Iranian capital, Tehran, on February 28.
Speaking on the subject, Trump said, "We gave them a week for the funeral because we are good people."
