Trump sets a date for Iran: 'This will end very soon'

U.S. President Donald Trump delivered messages regarding foreign policy at a midterm election rally held in the state of Ohio. Arguing that Iran wants to reach a deal, Trump said they are having difficulty finding a counterpart in the Tehran administration.

Claiming that they were forced to take action to prevent Iran from possessing nuclear weapons, Trump stated, "We made a little visit to Iran. Let's put it this way, they will never have a nuclear weapon, and this will end very soon."

Trump claimed that gasoline prices would drop rapidly once the process regarding Iran concludes. Arguing that prices are lower than they were during the Joe Biden era, Trump said, "You cannot allow the number one state sponsor of terrorism to have a nuclear weapon."

Accusing previous U.S. presidents of failing to take sufficient steps regarding Iran, Trump alleged that Barack Obama "paid billions of dollars" to Iran. Trump said, "We had to do it. It should have been done by other presidents for years, but they didn't do it."

Making assessments regarding Iran's military and economic capacity, Trump claimed that the country "has no navy, no air force, and no anti-aircraft defenses left." Stating that Iran wants a deal but does not know how to go about it, Trump remarked, "They don't even have leaders. That's the problem. We might have gone a little too far with the leaders, because now we don't even know who we are dealing with."

Trump claimed that no one in Iran wants to be president, saying, "To be honest, we are having trouble finding who to deal with. I think we went too far."

MESSAGE ON THE RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR

Touching upon the Russia-Ukraine war at the rally, Trump said that both countries want to reach a deal but that the tension between the leaders is complicating the process. Stating that "the hatred between the two leaders is very great, but we will handle that issue too," Trump described the war as "very ridiculous."

Trump claimed that 32,000 people, mostly soldiers, lost their lives last month. Stating that he has ended 8 wars so far, Trump expressed his belief that the Russia-Ukraine war could be solved more easily, but that it has become difficult due to the hatred between the leaders.
