Trump strikes Iran, state of emergency extended in Israel: Alarm level at its highest!

The Israeli government has decided to extend the duration of the state of emergency implemented nationwide. The proposal for the state of emergency, which was declared by Defense Minister Israel Katz last Friday, to continue until June 30 has been officially approved by the cabinet.

According to a report by Euronews, within the scope of the measures taken under the state of emergency, education in schools across the country has been suspended, while large-scale public events—religious services, sports competitions, and cultural performances—have been completely canceled. Businesses outside of critical sectors have also been temporarily closed.

These measures were put into effect primarily to increase the security level against missile attacks carried out by Iran. However, the extension of the state of emergency will also require approval from the commission chaired by Yuli Edelstein, head of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

This state of emergency authority grants the executive branch the right to make decisions that can supersede Knesset laws.

Meanwhile, developments that have escalated tensions have also emerged from the U.S. Two officials from the White House reported that a direct conversation took place between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following the strike on the nuclear facilities in Iran.

Shortly before this statement, Trump had announced that the American military had carried out strikes on three different nuclear facilities in Iran—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—and that the operation had been successfully completed.

In a post on Truth Social during the early hours of Sunday, Turkey time, Trump stated: "We have completed our very successful strike on three nuclear facilities in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. All planes are now outside of Iranian airspace."

Trump also stated that they had "bombed Fordow," adding, "All planes have safely headed home. Congratulations to our great American warriors. There is no other military in the world that can do this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your interest in this matter."

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio also shared this message from Trump on his social media account, expressing support for the strike.

"Stealth" Aircraft Used in the Strike

According to a report by Reuters, the strikes on nuclear targets in Iran were carried out using U.S. B-2 Spirit "stealth" bombers. It was determined that these aircraft took off from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri and headed toward the Guam region in the Pacific Ocean.

The B-2 aircraft were accompanied by four Boeing KC-46 Pegasus aerial refueling tankers. It was reported that two of these performed mid-air refueling during the mission over the Pacific Ocean. This revealed that the aircraft did not take off with full fuel capacity at the start of the mission.

Some sources suggested that the munitions carried by the B-2s could be bunker-buster bombs. According to the American television network Fox News, B-2 type aircraft can carry two 15-ton GBU-57 "bunker buster" bombs, which are unique to the U.S. These bombs are specifically designed to target reinforced underground nuclear facilities such as Fordow.
